Used Car Director - Automotive Dealership

USED CAR DIRECTOR

Top performing, award winning Houston area automotive dealership is looking for an experienced and motivated Used Car Director.

Responsibilities:

• Appraise all Trades, Maintain Used Car Inventory.
• Work with and supervise Sales Consultants to ensure individual and department sales goals and quotas are met
• Maintain Online Inventory to make sure our vehicles are advertised aggressively!
• Work directly with our sales team and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process.
• Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network.
• Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing sales.
• Desk deals for sales professionals and take T.O.’s to maximize deal potential.
• Work with wholesales to purchase vehicles for the inventory from auction, off-lease returns & inter-company

Requirements:

• Two years of previous experience as an Automotive Pre-Owned Sales Manager/Director
• Well-versed in auto, vehicle acquisitions, vehicle appraisals, merchandising, managing the vehicle reconditioning process, managing inventory, and retailing used cars
• Experience and knowledge of finance operations, knowledge of bank programs and ability to create excellent lender relationships are important for this position
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required
• Previous experience with high-volume and producing high units per month is preferred
• Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
• Organization and follow-up skills
• Experience and desire to work with technology
• Valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
