Service Porter – Rockwall County Volkswagen

Rockwall County Volkswagen is seeking a dependable and hardworking Service Porter to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting the service department with vehicle movement, maintaining the cleanliness of the service area, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet and assist service customers upon arrival.
• Move and park customer vehicles safely within the dealership lot.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service drive and shop area.
• Retrieve vehicles for customers upon service completion.
• Assist technicians and service advisors by transporting vehicles to and from service bays.
• Perform light vehicle cleaning, such as wiping down interiors and washing exteriors as needed.
• Ensure proper placement and security of all vehicles on the lot.
• Assist with other service department tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role or automotive environment is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently must walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
