Cashier – Rockwall County Volkswagen

Rockwall County Volkswagen is looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. This role is responsible for processing payments, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with administrative tasks in the service and parts departments.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Process customer payments for service, parts, and sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit card, and check transactions while ensuring proper documentation.
• Provide receipts and explain charges as needed.
• Answer incoming calls and assist customers with inquiries.
• Maintain an organized and clean cashier station.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling service appointments.
• Coordinate with service and parts departments to ensure seamless customer interactions.
• Address customer concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate department when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in an automotive dealership or retail setting is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently must walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
