Service Advisor Assistant

Job Purpose:  Responsible for assisting the Service Manager in the effective operation of the service center to include; sales, productivity and profitability, and is responsible for ensuring that the service center operates under safe conditions according to established policies and procedures and in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Job Duties:

Assist Service Manager:

  • in the effective daily operation of the service department
  • in ensuring the satisfactory application of customer service standards and customer satisfaction programs.
  • to ensure availability of qualified and motivated service employees to achieve service sales, customer service and profit objectives
  • in ensuring satisfactory maintenance, appearance and condition of assigned facilities to comply with security, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances
  • in ensuring strict compliance with the service Code of Ethics and all municipal, state, and federal regulations and procedures pertaining to the operation of the service center.
  • to ensure professional, timely communication to all customers
  • in maintaining the overall appearance of the shop, customer waiting areas and all bays
  • Perform any other functions as required by the Service Manager

Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong people management and leadership skills, motivational, supportive, assertive and decisive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of the automotive service and the industry

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least a high school diploma/GED
  • Technical degree preferred
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test, and valid driver license.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
