Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk to support vehicle titling and wholesale processes in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all title-related transactions for both retail and wholesale vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Process title work for new and used retail vehicle sales
Obtain and track titles for used vehicles, including timely follow-up with lienholders after payoff
Apply for duplicate titles and out-of-state titles as needed
Review the trade-in title documentation to confirm transferability
Prepare checks for tax, title, and registration fees
Prepare refund checks related to customer overpayments for tax, title, and registration
Process and assign wholesale title work to approved auction partners
Track and collect wholesale receivables from approved auctions
Respond to phone and email inquiries related to titles and wholesale transactions
Maintain accurate notes and documentation on internal schedules related to titling and wholesaling
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies regarding data protection
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Dealership accounting or title experience preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and calculators, and willing to learn internal systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screening, including background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening
