Sales Director – Automotive Market

A leading F&I products development company Head Quartered in the Southern U.S. is looking for a Sales Director. This executive-level position is responsible for overseeing sales strategies, managing a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth across multiple regions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the automotive sector, a strong leadership presence, and a proven track record of building and executing successful sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and market share objectives within the automotive industry
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales managers to ensure alignment with corporate goals
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with dealer groups and other key partners
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and stay ahead in a dynamic market
  • Establish sales targets and KPIs, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching to drive results
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts with business initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
  • Oversee contract negotiations and high-level account management for major partners
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences as a senior leader

Requirements

This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of the automotive space. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with dealers, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive business success.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the automotive industry
  • Proven track record of managing sales operations and leading high-performing teams
  • Experience working with dealership groups and OEMs
  • Strong understanding of automotive regulatory environment, and industry trends
  • Willingness to travel as required
